Question: My dog tore one apart and have found 72-73 beads so far.. some one help!!!
Answer: Most of the beading is not done by number of beads but by length of the chain (string) of beads. Most children's are around 18 inches, adults can range up to 38 inches long. So, restring the beads and see how long the strand is. If an adult's string, then hope it is 38 inches long. If we really extrapolate on the above, an average size (non-specialty) bead is about 1/6 of an inch. So, 6 per inch would make 10 inches in 60 beads and about 12 inches in 72 beads. That hardly sounds like all the beads, or maybe you have larger beads interspersed with smaller ones, which is often the case in beads purchased in markets around the French Quarter.
